Privacy policy and text message terms

Ready Homeowners is a referral service that connects homeowners with independent, licensed contractors. This page explains what information we use, what we do with it, and how our text messages work.
Information we use
- Public records. Property addresses, owner names and mailing addresses from county assessor records, and building records published by the City of Chicago. We use these to decide who may benefit from a letter.
- What you give us. Your name, phone number, email, property address and anything you write when you fill in our form or text us.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and match you with one licensed contractor who serves your area.
- To pass your name, contact details, property address and request to that one contractor, only after you ask us to.
- To honor requests to stop mail or texts.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the one contractor matched to your request and the service providers that run our website, phone line, email and mailings (for example Google, Cloudflare, Twilio and our print-and-mail provider), who handle it only on our behalf.
Text messages (SMS)
- We text you only after you have texted us or given us your number on our form and agreed to be contacted. We send messages about your request, such as the name of the contractor we matched you with and scheduling your free inspection. We do not send marketing texts.
- Message frequency varies with your request, typically a few messages.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices
- To stop mail from us, use the form at readyhomeowners.com/roof or email us with your address.
- To have us delete information you gave us, or to ask what we hold about you, email [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
